Gujarati Wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai
Every year, February marks the start of a busy season for us, and this year was no exception, beginning with the lavish Gujarati wedding of Vishesh & Dhvani at the prestigious Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Known for its elegance and grandeur, Taj Lands End is a sought-after destination for luxury weddings, offering spectacular views and exceptional service.
Celebrating Gujarati Wedding Rituals at Taj Lands End
The wedding kicked off with traditional Gujarati rituals, which are the essence of Gujarati weddings. Vishesh and Dhvani’s ceremony was held on the newly opened open-air rooftop, a first at Taj Lands End. This unique setting offers an infinity view of the Arabian Sea and the iconic Mumbai Sea Link, providing a perfect backdrop for the rituals and festivities. The décor was breathtaking, with a color palette featuring pristine whites and the mandap crafted from acrylic and orchids, symbolizing purity and elegance.
The First Couple to Wed Under the Stars at Taj Lands End
Vishesh & Dhvani had the honor of being the first couple to exchange their vows on the rooftop of Taj Lands End, under the open sky. This venue has recently opened for events and is now one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Mumbai. The sunset ceremony created a stunning ambiance, complemented by the bride’s red lehenga and the groom’s off-white sherwani and silk turban. The couple’s attire was meticulously chosen to match the royal setting, showcasing the luxurious lifestyle that Taj Lands End offers.
Wedding Photography in Mumbai: Capturing Moments at Taj Lands End
Our experience as wedding photographers has shown us that fewer ceremonies allow for more enjoyable and memorable moments. Vishesh & Dhvani’s wedding was no different. With precise planning and excellent lighting throughout the event, we captured stunning photographs that they will cherish forever. The setting at Taj Lands End, combined with its architectural beauty, makes it a premier choice for wedding photography in Mumbai.
An Unforgettable Reception at Taj Lands End
Contrary to the typical sequence of events at Indian weddings, Dhvani and Vishesh chose to have their reception after the wedding ceremony. The reception was held on the evening of the second day, featuring lively dance performances and DJs. The minimalistic approach to the pre-wedding festivities allowed guests and the couple alike to fully immerse themselves in the joyous occasion. The terrace of Taj Lands End provided an exquisite venue for the reception, set against the breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and Mumbai’s skyline.
Also, all the ceremonies moved with clockwork precision and the lighting was absolutely great throughout their whole wedding. Checkout their beautiful wedding film, before you head to the wedding photographs.
For this photograph below, I already had the frame in mind after seeing this window and the Sea Link behind, all I had to do is get Dhvani there, which was unfortunately far from her room. However on our insistence Dhvani reluctantly agreed to go the extra mile. Finally when she saw the result she agreed it was worth sparing 5 minutes for it even though she was anxious to reach on time for her entry.
A New Chapter Begins
As we concluded the first day of Dhvani and Vishesh’s wedding at Taj Lands End, it was clear that this was a remarkable event. It demonstrated that a sun-downer wedding, a rarity in Mumbai, could be a spectacular success, especially at a venue as prestigious as Taj Lands End. This event not only set a new standard for luxury weddings in Mumbai but also showcased the rich cultural heritage of Gujarati wedding rituals.
By holding their special day at one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Mumbai, Vishesh and Dhvani started their married life in grand style, creating memories that will last a lifetime, and proving that Taj Lands End is truly a jewel among wedding venues.
