Couple Shoot in Goa

Love is very fragile & light. It follows unimaginable musings, fleeting moments & turns all happiness into endless smiles.

On the evening, before their wedding festivities began, Sai & Trupti took out some time to make some timeless couple portraits in Goa. And when nature & love works together, magic happens. It was surreal throughout, as dark clouds gathered giving a whole new colour to the sky. The cliffs & palm trees too were swooning in bliss. Trupti wore a yellow gown & that stood apart in adding more charm to the shoot. And all the while, Trupti & Sai silently celebrated their new journey together & the happiness of being with each other.

Pre-Wedding Shoot in Hampi

Pre-Wedding Shoot in Hampi

Pre-Wedding Shoot in Hampi

We always wanted to do a pre-wedding shoot in Hampi, one of the best locations for pre-wedding in India, undoubtedly. This was our second outing with Sachin & Neeraja, post covering their engagement in July last year. And one day at a meeting in our office, we brainstormed together and decided to shoot their pre wedding at Hampi. It was a unanimous decision, and all of us were thrilled and waited eagerly for the shoot.

Sachin is a lawyer and Neeraja is a dentist by profession. Sachin & Neeraja are the classic case of how “opposites attract each other”. Its an arranged love story, that they call it. But once you meet them, you will feel that they know each other since ages. Their love, chemistry & joys in enjoying little moments and taking turns to tease each other are something which makes their relationship more special & unique. And naturally, we were thrilled to be on-board the second time for their pre-wedding shoot in Hampi.

So, we were all set. We left the next day after Diwali last year, 8th Nov, 2018. Little did we know we were up on an adventure that we would not forget the rest of our lives. The plan was to travel Hampi via road. We got the delivery of our new car Tata Nexon on the day of Diwali. And Anupam was really thrilled to take it out the next day. We were set to cover a distance of 730 km in 13 hrs. Sachin & Neeraja also joined us on road, in their Renault Captur

Hampi is charismatic even in its ruined state, the beauty lies in the temples, ruins of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury buildings. And when there is an even more charismatic & enthusiastic couple, the joy of shooting is all the more. Together with #saneera & the temples, the ruins & the boulder strewn structures, we made some stunning photographs. And, all the drive and the journey throughout was really worth it!

We shot across multiple locations starting off with Virupaksha Temple in the background at the Hemakutta Group of temple complex. This pretty much took the entire one morning. Thereafter we advanced to structures at Hampi Bazaar opposite the Krishna Temple. In the evening we proceeded to the hill of Raghunath Temple. This has a great view of the sunset and is free of any interruptions and guards. The best part of shooting in Hampi is that one doesn’t really need to shoot at Famous temple but you can always choose a hillock with some ruins around or a hill simply with a good view. The whole landscape is very beautiful with big boulders and small hillocks, lush green fields and the Tungabhadra River flowing across this landscape lending it a scenic charm. On driving back to Mumbai we took a detour to Pattadakal & Badami.

A few things to keep in mind (for the photographers & the couples) if you decide to shoot in Hampi – a. Do take permission from the authorities of the place before planning a shoot in Hampi, b. Carry comfortable shoes as it involves a lot of climbing up and down on the boulder structures. c. Carry hair spray, as it might get too windy to hold your locks in place. Pre-Wedding at Taj, Nashik

Pre-Wedding at Taj, Nashik

Pre-Wedding at Taj, Nashik

Pankaj and Priyanshi wanted their pre-wedding to be done at their favourite weekend getaway destination – The Gateway Hotel Ambad Nashik. Part of the famous Taj Group of Hotels, the property is all a photographer could ask for, from expansive green lawns to beautifully constructed halls and galleries. These two wanted the shoot to be fun, intimate and cozy. We started from their rooms and asked them to wear something comfortable and feel at home. The beautiful French windows with their white drapes let in some beautiful soft light through them and we chose to make the most of it. When Pankaj decided to play his ‘chill mix’ of songs, the vibe and the mood of the shoot was set and what followed was nothing short of a snuggle-o-thon.

Their chemistry shone through the pictures – and directing them felt effortless. We never knew so much could be done using nothing but a French window, a bed and a happy couple. Soon after this we headed out to make the most of the golden hour and click some fun and goofy pictures of the two love-birds. The hotel’s arched windows, beautiful galleries and lush gardens formed the perfect backdrop for what we wanted. The session concluded with jokes and laughter, we had fun after all and so did they and I suppose this is what pre-wedding shoots are made for, more than anything else – to get acquainted with the photographer, to trade stories and have fun along the way.

Its true that many photographers these days are shying away from doing pre-wedding photography, the once booming market for pre-weddings has surely come to a standstill. Most of them don’t find it worth their time as pre-weddings often pay less for the amount of effort and creative energies that go into it. With the apparent dearth of good photographers left in this space, the pictures often lack innovation. While many couples see it as a means of making their pinterest boards come to life, there’s little or no motivation for the photographer to try something new and challenging. However, Pankaj and Priyanshi came to us with some fresh and exciting ideas for their pre-wedding photoshoot that we couldn’t resist and ended up with some amazing pictures and a whole lot of fun. So, the next time you meet your wedding photographer, share your story before you start showing them your pinterest board!

Offbeat Pre-Wedding Shoot in Mumbai

Offbeat Pre-Wedding Shoot in Mumbai

Offbeat Pre-Wedding Shoot in Mumbai

We are sure you will find this pre-wedding shoot unusual and different from what you may have seen so far.  Well, if not entirely then in a great measure this was the first time we shot an intimate pre-wedding shoot. As couples increasingly look to do something different from the rest, they are ready to get out of their comfort zone and try new ideas. We feel the best way to do something is different is to personalise the shoot by letting the photographs depict your personality and story.

Omkar & Punita wanted an unusual and different pre-wedding shoot from the beginning. We brainstormed on many ideas ranging from basing it on their personality, shooting it entirely in a studio to even an intimate boudoir shoot. What finally we ended up doing was a mix of the usual to unusual. Hence photographs reflect their chemistry at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India, a comic re-enactment of how they met through their mutual friend – Pranav, their first kiss in a Kaali-Peeli and finally an intimate shoot in a beautiful property – Seven Sands Villa, in Lonavala which culminated with a re-staging of Tip Tip Barsa Pani from the movie Mohra. Location for the second half the pre-wedding was Seven-Sands Villa in Lonavala. Thanks to Vishal and Mrinal and their hospitality we had a hassle free shooting experience at their property.
