Abhilash & Richa : Wedding at Bal Samand Lake Palace, Jodhpur

Abhilash & Richa : Wedding at Bal Samand Lake Palace, Jodhpur

Abhilash & Richa : Wedding at Bal Samand Lake Palace, Jodhpur

“Jodhpur, a stunning little town in Rajasthan which I get to call home, is full of old world charm and regality. It was the easiest thing in the world to decide that this would be our wedding destination. We fell in love with The Bal Samand Lake Palace and it’s sprawling lawns, incredible heritage and the warm Rajasthani hospitality.
– Richa

As aptly described by our dearest bride, we couldn’t help but agree to each and every thing. Before, we start with the wedding story of Abhilash & Richa, we feel this visual tour of the Bal Samand Lake Palace is essential. So here you go!

Abhilash, a fellow Bitsian got in touch with Anupam about an year ago for his wedding. However, post the initial talks there was a long gap, due to busy schedules and stuff. The talks resurfaced as both of them met at another bitsian wedding (Krishna-Akanksha) at Bangalore. Thereafter, things moved pretty fast from there and very soon we were booked to shoot their royal palace wedding at Bal Samand Lake Palace, Jodhpur.

Over stories of sky diving in Spain, crazy BITSian escapades, quick little coffee meets turned into the most incredible first date, recounts Richa. Whereas Abhilash has been a firm believer of destiny, and says he always knew this was meant to be. And ofcourse, this is meant forever, and in a total dream-come-true way at the royal Bal samand Lake Palace, Jodhpur. With a North (Richa) meets South (Abhilash) wedding & friends and family coming in from all over the world, they wanted their wedding weekend to be an experience that let their families getting to know each other well, and most importantly, letting them spend time with their closest people. That’s why the focus was on being an easy going wedding, and not being tied down with too many processes. There were three major functions – Cocktail, Haldi & the Wedding, each dreamy & beautiful in their own way.

Cocktail – The Bride & Groom got ready at the Bal Samand Lake Palace. We quickly made some couple portraits. And then the party shifted to Ranbanka Palace, Jodhpur, with friends & family rejoicing in happiness.

Haldi – Haldi is clearly the most fun event in a wedding and Abhilash & Richa’s families & friends ensured they weren’t spared with any shortage of haldi on them. The result you get to see in the photographs. What also followed was a after party dance, lighting all the mood before the evening wedding.

Wedding – One word – Dreamy! It started with us capturing the wedding details. The Bal Samand Palace is rich & green with flora & fauna, and served as a stunning backdrop. Before the sun got down, Richa got ready in her stunning Dabka Dori ensemble and we got some stunning portraits. A tip to all future brides – Get ready before the sun sets for your evening wedding & you will be overjoyed to see the outcome in the photographs. There were fireworks as the jaimal happened & the wedding happened late evening under the stunning dreamy light decor. Credits to R19 Entertainment for the fabulous decor.

Lastly, if you plan on a destination wedding, here are some tips from our couple, Abhilash & Richa –

  1. Start Planning Early.
  2. Be involved in planning your wedding
  3. Involve your close friends & family
  4. Most importantly, have fun. The madness can get to you but you will miss it when its done.

Weddings are a proof that happiness is possible if you create it with all your hearts & love, and that’s what we have to say for this wedding. It was absolutely magical, and even days after getting back from Jodhpur, we were hungover with this palace wedding. Thank you Richa & Abhilash for being so warm and letting us document your special memories!

Jatin & Levina : Wedding at Renaissance Hotel, Powai

Jatin & Levina : Wedding at Renaissance Hotel, Powai

A love story that has all the feels right from #bkktoblr. Yes, Jatin & Levina’s story started when they were in high school in Bangkok. They were extremely fond of each other. However, life took over and they moved cities and lost touch for few years. But destiny had already made big plans for them. This time, they met again in Bangalore. And fell for each other head over heels. Things fell in place and they were all set to get married. So, #itsalevstory was set to happen at the gorgeous Renaissance, Powai.

So, it goes out to mention how amazing the wedding was planned. Jatin & Levina were sure about one thing, they wanted their wedding to be close to the nature. And Renaissance Powai, having its proximity to the lake and the swooning greenery made the ideal choice for the big day. Since Jatin was in Bangalore, and Levina in USA, the wedding planning responsibility was given to Shubhi & Amritanshu (Jatin’s sister & brother-in-law). They had just one directive from the couple – to get the best wedding photographers in Mumbai onboard for the wedding. Hence, it was both of them who approached us and very sooner we were all set to shoot Jatin & Levina’s big day. The festivities began with mehendi ceremony which was flavoured with Rajasthani folk dance and Punjabi Dhol in line with the two cultures which united for this wedding – Rajasthani & Punjabi. It was such a joy to witness the happiness around.

The wedding day started with Levina’s getting ready. The wedding was planned beautifully and was a sort of an intimate wedding. Levina looked like a dream in red. Jatin was left totally awestruck as he entered her room and their eyes met. Such a beautiful day it was with so much warmth and positive vibes all around as the friends and family gathered to celebrate the union of Jatin & Levina. Levina walked down the aisle with a gorgeous smile and happiness in her heart, with her sister & friends carrying the phoolon ki doli all the way. Wish time could have stayed still then, but no that would have been unfair to Jatin, who was waiting at the mandap very eagerly for his darling bride. One of the cutest moment to see was how he lent forward, reached out to Levina as she got on the mandap. As their eyes met, she had the brightest smile. This was the moment they waited for so long, and it was finally happening. Glad to have witnessed and also captured the moment. Thereafter, in the beautiful golden hour, Jatin & Levina took their vows and made their promises to be with each other forever and got tied in holi matrimony. The night ended with the reception, which was all about dancing and grooving to music and have all the fun. This wedding is all the more special to us, because of all the love, warmth, support, encouragement, appreciation we received from both the families. So, thank you Jatin, Levina, Shubhi, Amritanshu, Angela and both of the families for making us a part of the two special days! 🙂

And now, special mention to the various important wedding makers –

1. Groom Wear – Manyavar & Raymond
2. Bridal Wear – Frontier Lehenga House
3. Florist & Decor – National Decorators
4. Mehendi Artist – Rajwadi Mehendi
5. Rajasthani & Punjabi Dancers – Ajay Dholwala & Group
6. MUA – Neha Aadvik Mahajan

Over past 5 years we have covered 250+ weddings, won multiple awards along with featuring in Best Photographers in India lists but nothing has come close to the review that Amritanshu has given us. The review is a blog in itself and perhaps deserves a separate post but for the sake of inclusiveness helping all our future brides and grooms to select their dream wedding photographers in India here is the full text as also mentioned in our Google Review.

“We enlisted the help and services of KnotsbyAMP for the wedding of my brother in-law Jatin and his (now) wife Levina which happened this January at the Renaissance, Mumbai. Before, I move on to the specifics of our review, I would like to summarise by saying that with KnotsbyAMP what one can expect is amazing, elegant, detailed, high on technique, creative and artsy photography; the most vibrant and fun-filled videography and the opportunity to work with a highly dedicated, passionate, professional and trustworthy group of good human beings. I’ll rate them as follows under the following categories out of a maximum rating of 5:

Candid Photography : 5 / 5
Portrait Photography : 5 / 5
Location Photography : 5 / 5
Wedding Videography : 5 / 5
Video Editing and Composition : 5 / 5
Ease of doing business : 5 / 5
Professionalism on deliverables : 5 / 5

Quality of work delivered: The pictures shared with us are beautifully captured and they brilliantly document the happiness and joy being experienced by the couple on their special day. It is actually like a photo-story. We love the clean elegant frames, the clever angles, the interplay between lights and shadows, the switches between blur and sharpness, and the amazing colour balance and tone of the photographs — all of which is really owing to their masterful application of technique and talent. It is as well very refreshing to see some interesting, intelligent and visually engaging concepts in the work shared with us.

On a more personal note, what makes their work standout is their understanding of the people they are shooting. What impressed me the most is how balanced their work is. It is incredibly difficult to shoot weddings where so many things are happening parallelly. To capture all the fun, the drama, the emotions, one has to be well synced with their team, one needs to have a high level of awareness and be a master of timing, as the real difference between a good photograph and great one is timing, angle and the right frame. With the KnotsbyAMP team led by Anupam Maurya, you will get all of this and much more. More specific to our wedding, team KnotsbyAMP have masterfully framed all the beauty of the bride and groom and all of our family and friends so perfectly retaining all the essence of reality and making it possible for us relive and cherish all the precious moments from our family event — as many times as we want now.

Overall, we couldn’t be any more happier and content with the photos and the teaser video and our family is waiting with eager anticipation for the wedding film. On a concluding note, I must mention that along the way while we prepared for the wedding, we have had the good fortune of meeting some amazing people who have made sure that everything associated with the wedding happened perfectly. KnotsbyAMP are a huge irreplaceable part of that, I would once again like to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts for their positive presence, professionalism and for the incredible talent that they brought on board for our event.”

GIWA stands for Great Indian Wedding Award 2019 by International Convention of Wedding Fraternity which was held this year in ITC Royal Bengal in Kolkata. Sonal & Rajat: Royal Wedding in Delhi

Sonal & Rajat: Royal Wedding in Delhi

Sonal & Rajat: Royal Wedding in Delhi

Today is the last day of 2018. It has been a special, mad and crazy year. Also, leading to a very crazy wedding season. It was one of our agendas to blog one special wedding of this wedding season, before the year ends. And so here it is – Rajat & Sonal’s Royal Two States Wedding at Delhi.

Delhi weddings are unique, and have their own flavour. We have realised this at all the times we have covered weddings in Delhi (Previous Delhi WeddingsSidhant – Barkha, Ishita – Snehasish). Its also because of how the celebrations turn out to be “larger than life” & “whole roller coaster” of emotions, vibes, decor, food, clothes and so much more. And Rajat & Sonal’s wedding was no different. Rajat got in touch with us sometime in September 2018. He got to know about us through his common friends, and mentioned in the first conversation itself how he loved our work. Then, next what happened was a meeting over coffee with Sonal in Mumbai, and we were onboard.

Rajat & Sonal, have been together since a decade. And November 2018 was the time for this malyalipunjabi couple to culminate their decade long love story to their forever story. It amazes us all the time that how relationships like this stands the test of time, only to churn into a new beginning in the form of marital bliss, and how we are entrusted with the job of capturing the memories that would last more than a lifetime. Co-incidentally, these folks got married at the same time as Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone!

The festivities started with Sonal’s mehendi. Dressed in yellow- green attire with a yellow backdrop in the backyard of Sonal’s house, this was a simple yet such a thoughtful setting for the mehendi. Morever, it was November, so the Delhi wintry weather did a lot of wonders. And the result are the photos with happy vibes and vibrant colours. Next was the engagement, where interesting stories from Rajat & Sonal’s dating times were shared by the bride’s sister followed by dance and ring exchange. The couple portrait session happened too, and we are so incredibly glad about how the couple took out a good deal time for them. The day of the wedding started with bride’s haldichooda & kalire ceremony at her house. It was so much fun to watch the bride, shaking her chooda and kalire on the heads of all the unmarried friends present. The room was filled with all giggles, as the parts of kalire fell on the friend’s heads.

And then came the time, which everyone waited for so long. The wedding venue Airforce Auditorium Lawn was lit and decorated to its best. Sonal’s family welcomed Rajat with all smiles. And the stunning bride Sonal made an entry making all the heads turn. The entry surely would remain as one of our best captured bridal entries till date. We all got goosebumps as the Jai-maal happened in the lit fountain structure created in front of the mandap. The happiness on their faces that day, and the way they looked at each other was just priceless. And with them surrounding and sharing that happiness were their parents, siblings and friends. And thats how forever happened for Mr & Mrs Menon.Thank you Rajat & Sonal for choosing us and getting us on-board to document your special day, and all the warmth showered by both the families.

Mamta & Shekhar : Sikh Wedding in Lucknow

Mamta & Shekhar : Sikh Wedding in Lucknow

Mamta & Shekhar : Sikh Wedding in Lucknow

Love stories that begin as friendships are our favorites. They hold within them a special quality of ease and comfort, something which cannot be brewed artificially, which we witnessed at Mamta and Shekhar’s Wedding.

The duo met each other during their college time and became really good friends. Cupid decided to intervene and struck the unwitting duo and they soon started dating.

When college ended, the prospect of going to different cities came to the forefront. But for these two, it worked wonders in terms of bringing them closer and things got official real quick. And here we are now, capturing them as they head towards their matrimonial bliss! Have a look!

Sai & Trupti : Wedding in Goa

Sai & Trupti : Wedding in Goa

Sai & Trupti : Wedding in Goa

This rainy season, a wedding blog story of a monsoon wedding we shot in Goa the previous month!

Sai & Trupti got married at La Brise in Goa, and the pre wedding functions happened at Novotel Shrem, Goa. A beautifully planned wedding, where we saw non stop fun happening for three days. The first day began with a beautiful couple shoot in one the most serene beaches of Goa. The next day started with Haldi. Well played by family & friends, it was a crazy affair. We had to save our cameras and lenses from the yellow hues. The night ended with a beautiful sangeet, where the bride, groom & the friends nailed with their stupendous performance. The bride specially performed on“Nazar jo teri lagi main deewani ho gayi and the entire audience were enthralled. A destination wedding is all about having fun, Sai & Trupti made sure that was the main essence of the wedding.

The wedding day started pretty early. The wedding was to happen as per maharashtrian rituals. It was raining very heavily since morning. All of us hoped together that the rains stop soon. But that didnt happen! The wedding was safely planned indoors in La Brise (expecting the behaviour of the Weather Gods). But post the wedding, there was a ring exchange planned right at the Candolim Beach, and it was just beautiful. Over time we have realised, wedding happiness beats all adverse situations e.g. rains, bad weather etc. Wedding Planners Goa did a fantastic job with the decor & planning!

Checkout the photo-set below! Thank you Sai & Trupti for letting us document your big day! 🙂

Mugdha & Ravish : Celebrity Wedding in Mumbai

Mugdha & Ravish : Celebrity Wedding in Mumbai

Mugdha & Ravish : Celebrity Wedding in Mumbai

This is the story where one of the most loved couple of Telly town, took their relationship from reel to real life. TV actors Mugdha Chapekar and Ravish Desai got married on 14th December, 2016 at Flags Avante Garde, Mumbai in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends. We were the official photographers covering the beautiful maharashtrian wedding followed by a reception later in the evening.

Mugdha looked gorgeous in a baby pink chanderi silk saree, followed by a yellow Navvari and gold jewellery. The dapper groom opted for a kurta and silk safa with blue feather before changing into a white sherwani.  The wedding was also covered widely by media and various wedding portals viz. ZoWed, Weddingz.in, Bollywood Shaadi, thebridestory, TimesofIndia, etc.

All in all, how we loved shooting this celebrity couple who looked stunning, overjoyed and more importantly, so much in love.

For the Reception, Mugdha wore a stunning golden lehenga while Ravish chose a grand nawabi. Her twirling shots are pure delight to the eyes. The reception also saw the presence of some of the veterans from the film industry. We wish the lovely couple truck loads of happiness for the new journey of their lives! Over to the pictures from their special day.
