Telugu wedding at Celebrity Resort

Telugu Weddings in Hyderabad are known for being fun, colourful, and full of grandeur and this wedding at Celebrity Resorts was just that. Telugu Weddings usually go on for a few days as they are packed with many rituals and events. We as photographers love the enthusiasm and participation from eager family members and friends as we capture precious, candid moments that you get to reminisce about through photographs. We love covering Telugu weddings, check out some weddings we covered before – Bhagya-Vignesh, Rishika-Lohit, Saket-SriLakshmi

Priyatham and Manaswi had seven events spread across five days and most of the events took place in the tranquil surroundings of Celebrity Resort in Hyderabad. The lush green trees playing host to golden sunrises and sunsets were a treat to our eyes!

Check out their film-

Day 1: Haldi

The Haldi ceremony kick-started early in the morning when Manaswi and Priyatham were smeared with yellow turmeric paste, oil, and holy water thereafter, of course, someone found the water hose, and from that instance, the smiles and laughter of their friends and family did not disappear until it was time to shut the water off. It was quite difficult for us to cover the Haldi function with water everywhere and our cameras getting wet. All of us got completely wet by the end of it but the photographs are simply amazing for the event. We always recommend our clients not to exclude the Haldi function from their wedding coverage, as that is the most fun event in a wedding and even though they hardly need to spend on it, the photographs from Haldi, are absolutely stunning. Don’t believe us? Well, we have proof. Check out this fun reel we put together of our experience shooting the Haldi. Reel on Instagram

Mehendi began early for the bride as her hands and legs were ‘tattooed’ with beautiful, intricate designs. Later that day, the live band showed off their skills while the crowd queued at the bar. The party kicked off when Manaswi hit the dance floor and showered us with her wild dance moves which gave everyone the courage to show what they got in store. The alcohol helped a lot!

Day 2: Sangeet

From what we had seen the previous night, we knew their Sangeet would be nothing short of epic. And epic it was! Words do not describe the sheer brilliance we saw on stage. Every single dancer we saw up there was either a friend or a family member.
Priyatham and Manaswi did the classic game of ‘Who’s most likely to’ with their shoes and it was a hilarious game to get to know them better! The bride and groom put on their dancing shoes and did a fun, high-energy number which made everyone go wild and hoots were heard till the end.

Their close friends put together amazing performances which they practiced only a day in advance and yet they managed to pull it off very well.
The bar counter gave everyone liquid courage to hit the dance floor and groove to a lot of high-energy Telugu music. The night ended with everyone walking away with drunk smiles on their faces.

Day 3 : Pellikuthru & Pellikoduku

Pellikuthuru was a joyful blend of traditions and family bonding. Manaswi adorned in a gold and red saree looked stunning as always.

Day 4 : Wedding

Priyatham had an intimate house puja in his family home, where everyone gathered to bless him before the Wedding Ceremony.

Later that day, at dusk, as the couple stood before us, we could see the silent love and chemistry they shared. There was so much to love about this day – from the rituals to Manaswi’s walk onto the mandap, her and Priyatham’s eyes being locked on each other the entire time, and it was only made possible thanks to the amount of respect and love given by the family.  During Talambralu, the couple couldn’t stop smiling as they poured handfuls of rice over each other’s heads.

Vidaai got us feeling all the emotions as it did for Manaswi and her Mother.

Day 5: Reception in Warangal

On the last day, the raging festivities came to an end as the Reception took place in the groom’s hometown in Warangal where a crowd of more than 1500 people had gathered to congratulate the happy couple.

Somewhere deep in the lockdown phase last year, Deepak contacted us from Ireland. A few calls and a zoom meeting later with both Deepak & Pooja, we were on-board. From there on, its been an incredible journey with them!

Deepak & Pooja’s story started in the lockdown phase itself, with an arranged marriage match. Soon in about four months, they had made the decision. And as they say, when its meant to be, then everything falls in place!

What would remain with us throughout is how warm these two were in the whole process. And of course they look so adorable together, with a very ethereal and effortless chemistry. They were also open to many suggestions that we had to offer. And Infact the biggest one was to do a wedding in the outdoors. We made them realize that the difference would be really huge compared to doing the wedding indoors, and they in turn went about in convincing their parents. Together, they supported whole-heartedly in the vision we had for their wedding. And the result is for you all to see here.

South indian weddings are generally beautiful – with the pretty kanjeevarams, the immersive and significant rituals, the early morning light and the happiness all around. In this wedding, we got more than that. The best part was how both Deepak and Pooja reached out to each other, and always had a playful way of smiling, teasing and looking at each other. When you enjoy your wedding rituals so much, the pictures definitely talk about them. Here is their wedding blog story, scroll down to see the happiness & love. The beautiful and newly opened Janki Resorts played a great host as well.

Thank you Deepak & Pooja for having us, we hope to see you in some part of the world, someday soon!

Christian Hindu Church Wedding at Alila Diwa, Goa

Christian Hindu Church Wedding at Alila Diwa, Goa

First wedding shoot of this season commenced with this beautiful wedding in Goa. This couple had the best time of their lives and got married as per two traditions — Church wedding & Indian wedding. The Church Wedding follows in this one!

The venue for this grand destination wedding was Alila Diwa, Goa. Surrounded by greenery, an infinity pool, this polished hotel has high vaulted ceilings and wooden work throughout, offering a stylish take on a traditional decor.

The bride is a perfect blend of being all classy, beautiful and modest, at the same time. And no wonder, her impeccable choice reflected in every aspect of her wedding. Bride’s sister & her sister-in-law practically never left her side and were her Maids of Honour. Her Bridesmaids were color coordinated in blue. The groom is very shy on the other hand, rather we should say camera-shy. But the story gets different with a few pegs down, as evidently seen. The couple were classmates and have been in a decade long relationship, and they just look adorably cute together!

The Church Wedding happened at Our Lady of Remedios Church, Betalbalim Goa. We love shooting church weddings. Churches are very special and there are certain things about a church wedding, which you wouldn’t get anywhere. The best part is that you can make amazing vows and promises for your new journey totally engulfed in peace and serenity, which we totally evidenced and captured. The groom made a stylish entry in a vintage ford car and left the church with his newly wed bride in the same car and we were all amazed!

The celebrations for the day ended with an after party! There were speeches, karaoke, singing, dancing and rock n roll  in the beautifully decorated lawn in Alila Diwa. Both the families have known each other since a very long time, and there was so much ease and comfort in their interactions. Hats of to an amazing planning and execution! Everything proceeded just as planned, as the functions were simplified by keeping only the key functions. But, before we conclude, wait for the next blog to see their beautiful Indian Wedding in detail.

If you loved the beautiful church wedding in the previous blog story of Megh & Jive, you have something more to see! This time its the beautiful Indian wedding at Alila Diwa, Goa!

The beautiful bride was dressed in a beige chikankari lehenga, and the groom was looking ravishing a white sherwani. And a equally beautiful mandap decor with flowers to host the indian wedding. Everything was so beautiful and as the couple read over the vows & promises to each, they started their new journey with all – love, trust & understanding! And the happiness was infectious & spread all around, right from their familes, friends and all the guests present. Even to us, and we thank the couple for trusting us to capture the memories of their precious day!

“From the time we saw the work done by KnotsbyAMP on their Instagram page, we knew these guys were great. Now we couldn’t be any happier for choosing them to capture such an important day in our lives. Each time we go through the pictures, our hearts are filled with so much joy and unknowingly we cherish all the beautiful moments from our wedding day. There are good photos and then there those photos that make you relive each and every moment from that special day. The pictures clicked by KnotsbyAMP fall in the latter category. All thanks to them that we get to relive our wedding day, time and again through all those beautiful moments they have captured. They are definitely the best wedding photographers in Mumbai.”
– Ankur & Akshata

There are some people whom you meet and instantly connect with them, as if you knew them since ages. The same thing happened to us with Ankur & Akshata. After chatting and hanging out with them over calls, Anupam and I, first met them some time in August last year in a quaint little cafe in South Mumbai. As it rained and we sipped our coffees, we got into talking about how they were planning their big day. We also got to know their story and were naturally quite excited to shoot their wedding. They had already seen our work and were very convinced about it. Such warm people that they were, that it felt more like a friend’s wedding planning rather. As the conversation shaped its way ahead, they eventually finalized us for their wedding.

The day of wedding started with Ankur & Akshata getting ready at Ramee Guestline Hotel in Dadar, Mumbai. What a beautiful day it was and we made the most of it. Ankur & Akshata got ready in their respective hotel rooms, and we started capturing them. Their friends and family were around and actively took part in all the getting ready process that was happening. Akshata got ready in a royal yellow saree paired with a red blouse. She complimented her look with a beautiful choker jewelry set. We loved how she kept her look minimalist and simple, but how gorgeous and elegant this girl looked! Her friends were very right in joking around that Ankur will go awestruck and speechless when he sees her, and we kept wondering what it would be when that happens. Ankur looked dapper in his cream sherwani. We quickly made his portraits, as he had to leave first for the wedding venue. Akshata also had the best girls as bridesmaids, and they deserve a special mention. They impatiently waited for their bestie to be dressed up as a bride. And when she finally got ready, they were all amazed in awe. What followed were some amazing photos with the bride and her bridesmaids, and literally captured the happiness around. By the time we finished the portraits with the girls, the groom had already reached the wedding venue. It was time for the bride to make an entry. One of the special memories from the was that we headed to wedding venue with the bride and her bestie, in our car. And that was really fun!

Akshata made an entry, amidst dhol playing and people dancing. Ankur was sitting on the mandap. And the moment their eyes met, it was like witnessing pure love. It was the day, a decade long love story was culminating to a forever story, and the love and happiness around was lit in every way. We got to witness cute moments unfold throughout the wedding, Ankur could not take his eyes off Akshata, and all of it somehow made our work easier. They got married, in the beautiful golden hour and everything felt just magical. The wedding was followed by an evening reception. But, as they say, words always fail to describe feelings, and for the same reasons, we have pictures. So here you go now – #ankgothispai is all for you to see now!

Christian Wedding Mumbai: The Monirun-way

Christian Wedding Mumbai: The Monirun-way

Christian Wedding Mumbai: The Monirun-way

February started with a bang with one of the most fun-filled weddings of the season so far. Love was in the air as Monisha Rao – a cabin crew at Etihad Airlines fell in love with a Varun Shetty from Fly Dubai over drinks. The two decided to get married and got in touch with us to document their special day – KnotsbyAMP style. Monisha & Varun wanted the best wedding photographers in India to capture their special day and they went ahead with booking us 11 months in advance.

We, as wedding photographers, always look forward to white weddings for their no-nonsense, merry and jovial vibes – Monisha & Varun’s wedding was not an exception.  After two gruesome months of back-to-back shoots, hectic schedules with little to no sleep, this wedding – with more than its fair share of dance, drama, music, games.. and some more dance – was just what the doctor prescribed.

Monisha & Varun celebrated their nuptials at The St. Blaise Church, Amboli followed by a night of ‘Drinks, Dinner, and Dance’ at The Peninsula Grand Hotel.  Before their wedding ceremony, Monisha and Varun got ready at their respective residences in Andheri.  Monisha’s quaint little house served as the perfect backdrop for the honest and quirky storytelling pictures that followed. Her house was a hub of activities as the bridal entourage helped each other with their wedding attire. The buzz and chaos is palpable from the pictures and so is the excitement as the bridesmaids help the bride with her final look. The highlight being the cute little messages the two had written to one another on the sole of their shoes – Solemates indeed!!
Varun got ready with the help of his groomsmen and boy did he look dapper in his white tuxedo, complete with his uber cool wayfarers and those superman cufflinks. This was followed by a short blessing ceremony before the bride and groom’s entourage left for the church.

Monisha was escorted down the aisle by her parents as everyone in attendance including Varun looked at her in awe. Soon after there was a short mass and the ring exchange ceremony thereafter.
Churches present a unique challenge for us as photographers in the form of restricted movement during the mass. It was important that we placed ourselves such that we wouldn’t have to move much and set our lights in such a way that it didn’t restrict anyone’s view. Our tele lenses came in handy here.  We decided to get hold of the couple and their close family members soon after the nuptials for a family photograph. Couple portraits and the photos of the bride and groom entourage followed thereafter. The sheer number of pictures we have of the couple kissing each other is a testament to their chemistry.

Alcohol – Because no great story started with someone eating a salad” – This is what we first read as soon as we entered the reception venue at The Peninsula Grand and we got a rough idea of what was in store for us. The venue had a central dance floor surrounded by a banquet style seating for the guests.  The bride and groom danced their way into the venue to the tune of their favourite song . They were showered with confetti as they danced around the dance floor for a bit before settling down for the cake cutting ceremony. The champagne was popped, the best man and the maid of honor raised a toast to the bride and the groom respectively. The father/daughter dance and the first dance followed thereafter and the two were seen exchanging glances and making faces to each other throughout. This was followed by some fun games before everyone dispersed for dinner and drinks. Meanwhile, the couple decided to meet and greet their guests and we snuck in some couple portraits soon after. After everything was done and dusted, it was time to unwind as the close family and guests gathered for an after-party in the banquet hall. The party continued till late in the night and we stuck around clicking pictures until everyone decided to call it a day.

This is how the wedding was planned and executed the MONIRUN-way. Now take a moment, hold your breath to witness this beautiful wedding in KnotsbyAMP style.
