Telugu wedding at Celebrity Resort

Telugu Weddings in Hyderabad are known for being fun, colourful, and full of grandeur and this wedding at Celebrity Resorts was just that. Telugu Weddings usually go on for a few days as they are packed with many rituals and events. We as photographers love the enthusiasm and participation from eager family members and friends as we capture precious, candid moments that you get to reminisce about through photographs. We love covering Telugu weddings, check out some weddings we covered before – Bhagya-Vignesh, Rishika-Lohit, Saket-SriLakshmi

Priyatham and Manaswi had seven events spread across five days and most of the events took place in the tranquil surroundings of Celebrity Resort in Hyderabad. The lush green trees playing host to golden sunrises and sunsets were a treat to our eyes!

Day 1: Haldi

The Haldi ceremony kick-started early in the morning when Manaswi and Priyatham were smeared with yellow turmeric paste, oil, and holy water thereafter, of course, someone found the water hose, and from that instance, the smiles and laughter of their friends and family did not disappear until it was time to shut the water off. It was quite difficult for us to cover the Haldi function with water everywhere and our cameras getting wet. All of us got completely wet by the end of it but the photographs are simply amazing for the event. We always recommend our clients not to exclude the Haldi function from their wedding coverage, as that is the most fun event in a wedding and even though they hardly need to spend on it, the photographs from Haldi, are absolutely stunning. Don’t believe us? Well, we have proof. Check out this fun reel we put together of our experience shooting the Haldi. Reel on Instagram

Mehendi began early for the bride as her hands and legs were ‘tattooed’ with beautiful, intricate designs. Later that day, the live band showed off their skills while the crowd queued at the bar. The party kicked off when Manaswi hit the dance floor and showered us with her wild dance moves which gave everyone the courage to show what they got in store. The alcohol helped a lot!

Day 2: Sangeet

From what we had seen the previous night, we knew their Sangeet would be nothing short of epic. And epic it was! Words do not describe the sheer brilliance we saw on stage. Every single dancer we saw up there was either a friend or a family member.
Priyatham and Manaswi did the classic game of ‘Who’s most likely to’ with their shoes and it was a hilarious game to get to know them better! The bride and groom put on their dancing shoes and did a fun, high-energy number which made everyone go wild and hoots were heard till the end.

Their close friends put together amazing performances which they practiced only a day in advance and yet they managed to pull it off very well.
The bar counter gave everyone liquid courage to hit the dance floor and groove to a lot of high-energy Telugu music. The night ended with everyone walking away with drunk smiles on their faces.

Day 3 : Pellikuthru & Pellikoduku

Pellikuthuru was a joyful blend of traditions and family bonding. Manaswi adorned in a gold and red saree looked stunning as always.

Day 4 : Wedding

Priyatham had an intimate house puja in his family home, where everyone gathered to bless him before the Wedding Ceremony.

Later that day, at dusk, as the couple stood before us, we could see the silent love and chemistry they shared. There was so much to love about this day – from the rituals to Manaswi’s walk onto the mandap, her and Priyatham’s eyes being locked on each other the entire time, and it was only made possible thanks to the amount of respect and love given by the family.  During Talambralu, the couple couldn’t stop smiling as they poured handfuls of rice over each other’s heads.

Vidaai got us feeling all the emotions as it did for Manaswi and her Mother.

Day 5: Reception in Warangal

On the last day, the raging festivities came to an end as the Reception took place in the groom’s hometown in Warangal where a crowd of more than 1500 people had gathered to congratulate the happy couple.

Sienne & Shannon – Church Wedding in Mumbai

Sienne & Shannon’s dreamy wedding was surely couples goal, and we are still high on the memories that evening brought along with it.

The day started with the couple getting ready in a hotel in Bandra followed by the wedding mass at Peter’s Church. Thereafter the party shifted to Jade Garden, Mumbai.

With an eye for detail, and planning to the T, our bride Sienne married her childhood sweetheart Shannon. They celebrated the wedding festivities with close loved ones and friends who are families. The night saw overwhelming love, dances, toasts and a whole lot of warmth in the breezy April summer.

This one is to Sienne & Shannon, may the light of love always be upon you guys, may the champagne be always bubbly, and may the dance floor always witness your amazing chemistry 🙂

Telugu Wedding at Radisson Blu,Vishakhapatnam

Some things are just meant to be. And some stories are meant to be. That’s the case for Bhagya & Vignesh. They met in college in 2011 and became very close friends. But the real story started when they landed in the same city, New York for their masters. And very soon, their friendship turned into romance. In the summer of 2021, they made things official over an engagement on the yacht in the beautiful landscape of Maui. And they got married in the most beautiful way in a telugu wedding in December 2021 at Radisson Blu, Vishakhapatnam – and we were there!

We have covered a few telugu weddings before ( Lohit- Rishika, Saket – Sri Lakshmi), and we love covering telugu weddings 🙂 Here’s sharing the photo story of three beautiful days spent at the Radisson Blu, Vishakhapatnam with Bhagya & Vig (as Vignesh is fondly called). The first day started with pujas and small rituals at Bhagya’s house in Vizag. The quaint homely setup with garden and greenery around was a treat to the eyes. The setup was totally intimate and beautiful, and we made some great portraits of the couple and both the families.

Later, the next day, the party. shifted to Radisson Blu, Vizag. The next day started with a very vibrant Haldi. Happy yellow faces took over and didn’t spare Bhagya & Vig at all. To which Vig exclaimed “If these are friends, don’t know what would be enemies”. Post the Haldi aftermath, there was an afternoon carnival where everyone dressed up and let their hair down for a fun afternoon. It was followed by dance and bonding with each other.

Everyone waited for the sangeet scheduled later in the evening. Our groom Vig is one talented man, and he stole the show with his band performance. The night saw heart-warming performances and some epic moves. New stories were created, while old friendships were relieved. When you get together with your friends and family post covid, it leads to creating great memories, and that’s what we witnessed here 🙂

The wedding morning started early with Bhagya & Vig getting ready. The south Indian attires, the sounds of nadaswaram, the filter coffee set for a great wedding mood. The wedding was beautiful and mesmerizing. Everything worked in our favor and we have such fond memories. Thank you Bhagya & Vig and both the families for having us, we are so thankful that our paths crossed 🙂

Grand Muslim Wedding in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Grand Muslim Wedding in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Grand Muslim Wedding in Dhaka, Bangladesh

At the outset of this beautiful year 2019, we covered one of the most grand muslim wedding in Dhaka, Bangladesh. And there is a bit of a small back story we would like to share here.

Anupam says – “When I first got a call about a wedding in Dhaka, I hardly believed the person on the other side. A wedding planner in Kolkata approached for the so called wedding. He was infact speaking on behalf of Bangladesh’s biggest wedding planner and decorator Sygmaz. By the time the event got confirmed it was only 11 days left to complete all the visa formalities and travel arrangments. This would have otherwise been impossible considering it takes 10 days to just complete visa formalities and that too it had to be done from Kolkata. Being in Mumbai didn’t help at all. But all that was made possible by the event planners flying us business class and getting a stamped visa signed by High Commissioner in Bangladesh. This is hands down one of the most lavish wedding we have covered till date and to be frank it was a humbling experience. Especially when the bride’s father Mr Abdul Wahed, owner of DBL group is the textile king of Bangladesh. Striking thing is despite his wealth & the fame, he was very kind and humble. One thing we learnt is the people in Bangladesh have very similar values to ours and whether it is the language or traditions there was hardly any difference. The only gripe we had was that there were multiple teams almost 4 other teams which really made it a mess to cover the event. Nevertheless very proud of what we were able to manage and have only very fond memories and hope to go back to Dhaka soon.”

What started with an arranged marriage match for Sadia & Abraar, led to multiple meetings, and eventually they fell in love. And it’s such a beautiful match, Sadia says he treats her like a crown on his head, while he says she has changed his life in all beautiful ways. We have covered several international destination weddings (Kenya & Thailand), and this one remains our favorite

The wedding festivities spanned for four days, the events were – Holud (Haldi), Sangeet, Wedding & Reception. Sadia & Abraar already had their Nikaah earlier. Since there were not much rituals involved, we had a lot of time for the portraits & couple shoot. The first day was Holud, and it was lavish and joyous affair, and when Mika Singh was also in the house, one can only see the energy and spirit at sky-high. The next was sangeet at Abraar’s house, and it was yet another fun event. It was followed by the wedding which happened at Radisson Blue, Dhaka. Sadia & Abraar entered hand-in-hand and she left everyone in tears as she headed for her new journey. It was one of the those difficult moments that we photographers have to witness time and again. And the last and finale day was the reception. All the other functions were in Pan Pacific, Sonargaon, Dhaka. Striking decor was the major highlight in this wedding. Thanks to Sadia & Abraar and their families who gave us so many fond memories and loads of stories. Lets take you through their wedding film, and then the photo-stories. Our work in this wedding got us the Great Indian Wedding Award 2019 by ICWF in Photo-Stills category.

Intimate Nikaah in Mumbai

Intimate Nikaah in Mumbai

Intimate Nikaah in Mumbai

The first meeting we had with Jehan at the cafe at Taj Lands End, she won us over with her smile and endless charm. She is like sunshine, carrying her sparks wherever she goes.

Jehan shares, “We had a cliched first meeting at a club where Farhan approached me when I was waiting for my friends at the end of the night. But, despite serious efforts on his part to strike a conversation with me, I remained pretty reserved and, of course, we lost touch quite quickly. But, I think destiny had other plans for us as 10 months later we bumped into each other again at a common friend’s place! And from then, there was no separating us as we started chatting regularly. Distance also played a great role in cementing our relationship as I had to fly to London for an assignment which extended unexpectedly. Unhindered by the distance, Farhan and I used to talk every day, and gradually, before we knew it, we were in love! And, eight months later we tied the knot.”

For their wedding venues, the duo decided to go local and chose popular properties that would cater to their every whim. However, for their nikah, the chose to go traditional with a mosque and a home ceremony. For the mehndi and haldi, the Otters Club in Bandra was chosen for its laid back and fun atmosphere. The glamorous reception was hosted at the Gallops Mahalaxmi and the Walimah took place at the sprawling JVPD Grounds.

From an uneventful first meeting to a magical wedding proposal, Jehan and Farhan’s journey of love culminated in a beautiful wedding. And this will always be remembered by us for a very long time because this was our last wedding, before Covid-19 entered our lives and wedding scenes.

Gujarati Wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai

Gujarati Wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai

Gujarati Wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai

Every year February starts on a high note and it is one of the busiest months for us and this year was no different.  It started on a great note with Vishesh & Dhvani’s wedding at Taj Land’s end,  Bandra. Vishesh was the first one to get in touch with us and what we liked about Vishesh is his straightforward approach to our whole proposal and he also said that they will ensure that we get a great wedding to capture which couldn’t have been more true.

Vishesh & Dhvani had the distinct privilege to be the first couple to get married on the open-air rooftop of Taj Land’s End, Mumbai which has recently been opened for events. It provides a beautiful infinity view of the sea on its long end and the Mumbai Sea Link towards its left along with a long cover of trees. It makes for a stunning and breath-taking setting for a sun-downer wedding. The color palette of the whole decor in white and a see-through mandap made of acrylic and orchids was a sight to behold. Dhvani in her red lehenga for her wedding and Vishesh’s off-white Sherwani with silk turban looked classy and royal against the whole backdrop. Vishesh & Dhvani first met through their friends and it is safe to say that their friends set them up.

Contrary to the popular choice of having Sangeet before the wedding, Dhvani and Vishesh planned to tie the Knot first and then throw a moving reception along with few dance performances and DJs. They kept their first half of both the days empty, without opting for too many ceremonies or other activities. In our experience, weddings with lesser functions always tend to be more enjoyable and with stunning photographs. Also, all the ceremonies moved with clockwork precision and the lighting was absolutely great throughout their whole wedding. Checkout their beautiful wedding film, before you head to the wedding photographs.

For this photograph below, I already had the frame in mind after seeing this window and the Sea Link behind, all I had to do is get Dhvani there, which was unfortunately far from her room. However on our insistence Dhvani reluctantly agreed to go the extra mile. Finally when she saw the result she agreed it was worth sparing 5 minutes for it even though she was anxious to reach on time for her entry.

This is how the first day of Dhvani and Vishesh’s wedding ended on a great note and what a beautiful wedding it was! A lot of people would find it hard to believe a sun-downer wedding like this is possible in Mumbai, but the Taj Land end’s terrace provided the perfect venue set against the Arabian Sea and the Sea Link for this breath-taking wedding. The Sangeet and Reception was scheduled on the evening of the second day. So let us take you to the second day!
