North Indian Wedding in Mumbai

In our wedding photography career, we have never found any two weddings similar. Its always that the people & the circumstances, which blends in together and makes for a different experience each time. Sometimes, its also about challenges. 

Aditi & Vikas’s wedding in Mumbai was a beautiful affair which lasted for 3 days. The wedding festivities started with the cocktail, mehendi & sangeet and ended with the wedding in north indian style. The bubbly bride Aditi was sporty enough to try out whatever suggestions we had, and it was so much fun to shoot her. However, the major challenge for us was to capture her wedding due to the heavy rains on the day of her wedding on 4 December, 2017. But the show went on despite the rains. As Aditi got ready at MAC studio in Juhu, she kept on taking updates on the rain. The baraat fun didn’t stop with the downpour. A salute to the spirit of bride and groom’s families and all the guests involved. But moreover you have to see how happy the bride was, despite all the arrangements and decoration going haywire. This heritage palace was an oasis of calm from the regular noise & dust, and the view only got breath-taking with the overlooking Aravalli mountains. Kriti’s sister & brother in law too, got their post wedding shoot done in the beautiful backdrop! Rest what followed was a big fat wedding and thats how forever happened for Kriti & Prakhar!

Destination Wedding in Nainital

There are some warm stories, which stay with you for really long and this one is from the gorgeous hill station Nainital – The beautiful wedding story of Ketan & Ritambhara a.k.a Ritu. Ketan & Ritu chose the beautiful city of lakes, Nainital for their destination wedding, and we could not be more happier to be a part of their big day. What really stood apart is the simplicity, warmth and the serenity of this entire wedding, and you can definitely see in the photographs. 

The wedding festivities happened at the Shervani Hill Top Resort. The resort gives a totally unseen view of Nainital, and is totally quiet and peaceful, away from the maddening crowd. Having several photo-ops around, the resort was blooming with huge varieties of flowers. The beauty of nature is at its peak. But the person who made this wedding more special is the bride, Ritu. All because she was the bride who refused to smile and stated ” I will not smile, if you ask me to” :). Hands down the most quirkiest bride we have ever shot. And yet, we managed to frame the moments where she enjoyed herself to the fullest. Now, take a look down in the pictures below.

Maharashtrian Wedding at Tip Top Plaza, Thane

Marathi weddings are the most simplest, yet filled with lots of colours and fun rituals spicing up the entire event. One of the very first weddings we shot this year was Amit and Smita’s wedding held at Tip Top Plaza, Thane. The events included the wedding in the morning, followed by a reception in the evening. 

The day started with Smita’s getting ready shots. We captured her while the make-up artist worked through the brushes, eye liners and lipstick. As the wedding progressed, Smita changed through a couple of paithani sarees and looked every bit of gorgeous. The emotions were quite high as both the families were getting to celebrate this big day. The entry of the couple at their reception was spectacular, as they graced the stage amidst a set of diyas creating a beautiful beam.

Intimate Wedding at Home

At AMP, we have shot variety of weddings. But still this one is a first. Govindam and Elizabeth’s wedding in Mumbai is something which breaks all conventions and stereotypes. This is the first time we witnessed an intimate inter-religious wedding which took place at home. Breaking the shackles of conventions truly!

Govindam Yadav, a BITS Pilani alumni hailing from Lucknow, UP met Elizabeth Mathew, a Malayali christian while working and they decided on forever. Both the families heartily accepted their decision. The wedding venue was Elizabeth’s home in Mumbai. This was quite refreshing to witness and photograph, as there were only limited close knit people at the house. The atmosphere was very relaxed and least stressful. As they got married, they also set a new trend and reminded us marriages are not always about grand celebrations, but resolve and promises made by two individuals to spend their lives with the blessings of their loved ones.
